Responsibilities

Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure quality and performance standards are met, identifying and documenting defects accurately and promptly.
Create detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design specifications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide feedback to improve software quality.
Execute manual and automated test scripts, maintaining testing documentation and reporting test results effectively.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress, share insights, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Must-have skills

Proficiency in software testing techniques and methodologies, ensuring thorough test coverage and defect identification
Ability to create detailed test plans and test cases, adhering to project requirements and quality standards
Experience in executing manual and automated test scripts, reporting defects accurately, and verifying fixes
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, share insights, and contribute to a positive work environment
Required experience is 1-3 years

Nice to have

Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE)
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Experience in mobile testing for iOS and Android applications
Knowledge of security testing concepts
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Understanding of automation testing tools such as Selenium or Appium
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
