We are looking for a Junior SQA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in the Information Technology industry. Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure quality and performance standards are met, identifying and documenting defects accurately and promptly.
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design specifications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide feedback to improve software quality.
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts, maintaining testing documentation and reporting test results effectively.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress, share insights, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Must-have skills
  • Proficiency in software testing techniques and methodologies, ensuring thorough test coverage and defect identification
  • Ability to create detailed test plans and test cases, adhering to project requirements and quality standards
  • Experience in executing manual and automated test scripts, reporting defects accurately, and verifying fixes
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, share insights, and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Required experience is 1-3 years
Nice to have
  • Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience in mobile testing for iOS and Android applications
  • Knowledge of security testing concepts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Understanding of automation testing tools such as Selenium or Appium
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
